Scorpio Season 2026: Dates, Traits and a Simple Candle Ritual

Scorpio season begins on October 23 and runs through November 21. As the days get shorter and the year turns inward, this is a season for depth: honest conversations, letting go of what's finished, and committing fully to what matters.

What is Scorpio season?

In astrology, each sign's season is the stretch of the year when the Sun moves through that sign. Scorpio is a fixed water sign, traditionally ruled by Mars and, in modern astrology, by Pluto. Its themes are intensity, loyalty, privacy and transformation, which is why Scorpio is so often linked with endings that make room for new beginnings.

Scorpio traits

• Magnetic and intense. Scorpios feel deeply and rarely do anything halfway.
• Loyal to the end. Once you've earned a Scorpio's trust, you have it for life.
• Private. They share slowly and protect what's sacred to them.
• Transformative. Scorpio season is a natural time to release old habits and stories.

A simple candle ritual for Scorpio season

You don't need anything elaborate. Set aside fifteen quiet minutes in the evening.

1. Clear your space. Open a window and, if you like, burn a little sage or palo santo as you set your intention.
2. Light your candle. Watch the flame for a minute and let your breathing slow down.
3. Write it down. On one side of a page, list what you're ready to release. On the other, write one thing you want to commit to more deeply this season.
4. Close the ritual. Read your commitment out loud, then let the candle burn a while longer as you sit with it. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
